The Rolling Stones Rumoured European Tour 2026

— New Album and Tour Coming Next Spring?

After more than six decades on the road, The Rolling Stones show no signs of slowing down. According to several reliable sources close to the band, a brand-new studio album and a European Tour are both planned for spring and summer 2026. The Stones reportedly completed recording sessions at Metropolis Studios in London between April and May 2025, finishing around 13 new songs. Guitarist Ronnie Wood confirmed during an album signing in London on September 26, 2025, that a release is due next year — pointing clearly to 2026. Many expect the new Rolling Stones album to drop around April 2026, with a European tour launch around the same time.

From 2025 delays to a 2026 comeback

Originally, a European Tour 2025 was almost ready to be announced in late January 2025. Plans reportedly included 13 cities and 18 shows, later narrowed down to 11 cities and 14 dates, running from early May to mid-July 2025.

The cities rumoured for 2025 — and likely candidates for 2026 — included:

  • Barcelona (2 shows)

  • Lisbon

  • Sevilla

  • Rome

  • Amsterdam (2 shows)

  • Zurich

  • Copenhagen

  • London (2–3 shows)

  • Berlin

  • Munich

  • Paris

Bucharest and Vienna were reportedly dropped from the final 2025 list before the tour was eventually cancelled due to logistical issues, especially delays at Barcelona’s Camp Nou renovations.

Now, with logistics sorted, 2026 looks promising for a full return to European stages.

Scheduling around the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Frontman Mick Jagger is a known football fan — and with the FIFA World Cup 2026 taking place from June 11 to July 19, the Stones are unlikely to schedule shows during the tournament’s key matches (quarter-finals, semi-final, and final). That means most Rolling Stones 2026 concert dates will likely fall before or after the World Cup, keeping fans free to enjoy both live rock’n’roll and world-class football.

Will there be shows outside Europe?

While there are whispers of final appearances in Buenos Aires, Tokyo, or Sydney, these remain speculative. Given the band’s reduced appetite for long-haul travel, such stops are possible but not probable.

Instead, fans can expect the Stones to focus primarily on major European capitals and stadiums, following the blueprint of the cancelled 2025 tour.

Fans worldwide are holding their breath for official confirmation — which could come as early as January or February 2026. Until then, the message is clear: Get ready for another year of Stones magic.
